Document Verification

Overview

Verify claim documents and finalize adjudication. Document Verification enables developers to submit supporting documents for review, confirm the result, and complete auto-adjudication on a claim across WEX platforms. It includes operations for submitting documents, validating a previous submission, and adjudicating the outcome. Use this resource to give consumers fast feedback on their documents and move eligible claims through adjudication with less manual review.

What can the API do?

The Document Verification API allows you to perform functions related to the consumer’s:

• Document submissions
• Verification results
• Claim auto-adjudication

Key Features

• Accepts one or more documents for a claim and returns the details found on them, including date of service, amount, provider, category, and expense type.
• Indicates whether a claim is valid for auto-adjudication, and explains the reason when verification fails or is denied.
• Allows you to validate a previous submission and receive a clear valid or invalid result with a reason.
• Allows you to finalize adjudication for a previous submission and receive the saved result, or the reason it failed.
• Links each step together with a shared transaction_id, so validation and adjudication tie back to the original submission.
